About Darrell Odom
Darrell Odom spent 31 years in the United States Army and Coast Guard, retiring as a Master Chief Maritime Enforcement Specialist the highest enlisted rank in the Coast Guard. Then he joined Prince George's County Fire/EMS, where he worked his way to Acting Fire Chief over 24 years, building the county's Paramedic Ambulance Program along the way.
When Governor Wes Moore appointed him to the Maryland House of Delegates on January 12, 2026, the Prince George's County Democratic Central Committee had already voted 22 to 2 to send his name forward. They weren't taking a chance on someone new. They were recognizing someone who had been doing the work for decades.
